Since the first edition, in 1997, the school has been a meeting place for Ph.D. students, post-graduate and researchers, to be introduced to classical as well as emerging control theory, enriched by practical case studies and applications. Besides the learning experience, the school also has the ambition of providing a stimulating environment for Ph.D. students to meet and establish professional relationships, collaborations, and know-how exchanges. Every year, two hot topics related to control systems theory/applications are presented, and the participants to the school have the opportunity to suggest the topics for the next year. The summer school is primarily intended for, but not restricted to, Ph.D., post-graduate, and researcher candidates in the Control Systems and Automatica fields. Participants coming from other disciplines may also benefit from the school depending on the topics discussed. The school success encountered in these years and the distinguished international guests involved a progressive internationalization of the school that now opens up to receive applications from all European Ph.D. students.

EECI International Graduate School

DAUSY Ph.D. students are invited to take courses offered by the European Embedded Control Institute (EECI). Each year the prestigious International Graduate School in Control (IGSC) is organized, inviting distinguished experts from prestigious universities and institutes around the world to teach courses on topical scientific issues. The courses are organized in presence in different locations (more information in the official website).

Note that the EECI IGSC requires a registration fee (more information in the official website). However, the fee can be paid by employing the personal research budget (see our guidelines for more details)

The scientific aim of IGSC is to complete the training in the multidisciplinary field of systems & control, offering complementary and essential education for Ph.D. students, Post-docs, young (or less young) researchers and engineers. IGSC Program includes independent modules on different topics of networked and embedded control. A module of 21 hours a week. Successful completion of a module upon evaluation obtains the equivalence of 3 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) max.
