The PhD Winter School on Autonomous Systems 2026, held at the Politecnico di Bari from January 19 to 22, 2026, brought together PhD students and early stage researchers for a week of learning and discussion.
The program included lectures by international experts on key topics such as control, robotics, machine learning, distributed systems, and decision making. Alongside the lectures, participants had many opportunities to exchange ideas and interact with both speakers and peers in an open and collaborative environment.
The School concluded on January 23, 2026 with a session dedicated to DAuSy PhD Students (38th Cycle), who presented and defended their final PhD theses.
The Winter School was funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
The 2026 edition confirmed the Winter School as a meaningful opportunity for advanced training and community building in autonomous systems research.
