The PhD Summer School on Autonomous Systems 2026, held at the Politecnico di Bari from September 7 to 11, 2026, brought together PhD students and early-stage researchers for five days of learning and discussion.
The program featured lectures by seven international academic experts on key topics such as control, robotics, machine learning, optimization, distributed systems, and decision making. Alongside the lectures, participants had many opportunities to exchange ideas and interact with speakers and peers in an open and collaborative environment.
A distinctive feature of this edition was the strong participation of COMAU, ICAM, KUKA, MASMEC, and PAL Robotics, whose contributions connected scientific advances with industrial applications. Live robotics demonstrations and a technical visit to MASMEC offered participants firsthand insights into advanced technologies and industrial innovation.
The 2026 edition strengthened the dialogue between academia and industry, confirming the DAuSy PhD School as a meaningful opportunity for advanced training, collaboration, and community building in autonomous systems research.
